Worth Valley like all Young Farmers' Clubs had to begin somewhere, well our humble beginning was in 1943 during the Second World War, making us 81 years young and still going strong. Even then, Worth Valley had a Cattle Show, or more precisely a Calf-Show, which was the forerunner for the famous Keighley and District Agricultural Show, which itself has been running 67 years how things have changed…
Worth Valley Young Farmers' took their name from the River Worth that runs through the Worth Valley where we farm. Because we have dynamic members our club has managed to adapt to modern farming methods and many changes in society today, hence why now nearly half our members are from backgrounds other than farming. Even one of our members travelled all the way from China to join our club, and yes we've also had and accept strict vegetarian members.
