Even if you've living in deepest remote Sweden and using 'Krazy Glue' to build snowmen and fix your new Luxury Igloo extension you'll have heard of the World Famous Mascot Day 2006.
The Yorkshire YFC Mascot Grand National which will be held on 30th April 2006.
The event will be held at Wetherby Racecourse on their family day where we can promote YFC to 6000 plus race goers and we expect press and TV coverage.
As part of this funding we shall be promoting waste reduction to the rural communities where our members live in the build up to the race day. The third theme is one of money-raising for charity. Each mascot will be asked to raise a £25 entry fee through sponsorship, which will go directly to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Any sponsorship raised above the £25 can be donated either to the Air Ambulance or to the charity of the mascot's choice.
No doubt Worth Valley will be providing some stunning Mascots with some directive help from our very own specialised Garment Technologist. It should be a grand day out and hopefully we can raise loads of money for charity. _________________ };-) http://www.xhtmlcoder.com/

What have we here— looks like a Kangaroo, no it must be some form of flower, not a Pansy but a Giant 'Royflower'…
Next in the line-up do we have Daisy the Cow, no it must be something to do Ghost Trains, yes its 'Brigadon to Camp Engine' and 'Chums'.
Then we have some form of Bag-lady looks like a Compost Heap or Park Bin.
Then on the back-row we have a familiar looking object, yes it must be some Yellow Pop ... no actually it looks like a Pint of Yorkshire Beer.
Then there is something resembling a green Clan member, no actually it appears to be a giant Blade of STRI Grass.
Mr Chairman, I Love the Hat is that used to pull the young ladies in the back? _________________ };-) http://www.xhtmlcoder.com/ |

Mr Olsson, I understand your Government loves funding needy causes and as you can see these poor orphans are dressed in recycled material.
So I was wondering if you could get ULFman to sponsor them? _________________ };-) http://www.xhtmlcoder.com/ |

I doubt it. On April 30 our King celebrates his 60th birthday, so all our sponsoring will go to that. |

As was predicted we won the: "Best Dressed Mascot" and the most environmentally-friendly recyclable mascot design.
Here we have a picture of the Chimney Puff-ing… anyway.
However, I don't know how 'Thomas the Camp Engine' failed to come last in the Obstacle Race, as the Last Place would have received an extra prize to help support their chosen charity.
As was predicted I appeared on Television on Tuesday night for several seconds as did some of the mascots.
We did a most excellent job at raising money for both the Air Ambulance (which was used to help the Jockey that fell and fractured his skull on the day) and 'Manorlands Hospice'. _________________ };-) http://www.xhtmlcoder.com/ |
